What is Cinnamon Powder?
Cinnamon is the name given to different types of tree bark used as a spice. The inner bark of the tree is cut into the curled sticks and the bark is ground up into powder. It has been used as a spice for thousands of years.
Cinnamon has a warm, sweet flavour and aroma which comes from cinnamaldehyde.
How To Cook Cinnamon Powder
Cinnamon is used to season and flavour food and is often added in baking, desserts and savoury dishes.
You can sprinkle ground cinnamon onto toast or add to your cereal or porridge. Start with a little!
Cinnamon Powder also makes a great natural pest repellant as they don’t like climbing over the powder.
