Spelt is an ancient whole grain, closely related to wheat. These golden flakes have a crunchy, nutty taste and make a great alternative / addition to oats in a porridge.
Cooking with Spelt Flakes
To make an incredibly hearty and filling brekkie, pop 1 cup of spelt flakes, 2 cups almond milk (or milk of your choice), 1/4 tsp mixed spice, 1 tbsp chia seeds and 1 cup chopped strawberries into a pan and bring to the boil. Then simmer for 12-15 mins and this should make 2 servings. Enjoy!
