Couscous is a pasta made from semolina and steamed wheat flour and is a staple in North African cuisine.
Cooking with Couscous
Very easy to work with! Just pour over some boiling water, wait a few minutes for it to hydrate and then fluff with a fork. You can add fruit and vegetables to it as a stand alone dish, or add to a salad or soup.
For a scrumptious side dish of coconut couscous, bring 1 cup of coconut milk and 1/2 cup of water to the boil, then remove from the heat and add the 1 cup of raw, unprepared couscous. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes, then add some spring onions and enjoy.
