This sea salt is sourced from the crossroads of three saltwater sources—the Red Sea, the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. This salt is produced by solar evaporation of seawater in open ponds located near the coast of the Red Sea, and is soil association approved.
Sea salt is basically evaporated seawater with little processing. Trace minerals and elements are left behind which add flavour and colour to the sea salt. Table salt on the other hand is typically mined from underground salt deposits. It is more heavily processed to eliminate minerals and usually contains additives to prevent clumping.
Cooking with Natural Sea Salt
Use this salt for cooking, seasoning and preserving.
You could also try making an exfoliating sea salt hand scrub. Sea salt exfoliates by removing dead skin cells so that new, smoother skin cells can take their place. If you have sensitive skin, just replace the sea salt with brown sugar.
Mix 1 cup of sea salt with ½ cup of melted coconut oil, then add 5-7 drops of essential oil (I like to use a citrus one), mix again and store in an airtight container. Rub a £2 coin size amount on your hands and rinse off. You should quickly notice the difference!
