Red Foods, Antioxidants, New Stock and Stock Replenishment!!

This week the focus is on red foods. Why? Well they are usually packed with natural antioxidants. Antioxidants help prevent or slow damage to cells caused by free radicals. Free radicals are associated with oxidative stress which can cause inflammation. Oxidative stress results from an imbalance between the production of free radicals and a cell’s ability to detoxify them, leading to cellular damage.
Along with blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, plums, organs, red grapes, cherries, kale, spinach, brussels sprouts, alfafa spouts, broccoli flowers, beetroot, red bell peppers, onion, sweetcorn and aubergines, the below foods are also high in antioxidants.
Red Rice
Dried Cranberries
Red Quinoa
Red Kidney Beans
Prunes
Raisins
Dark Chocolate
Pecans
Last week saw most product lines partially or completely depleted – we had a huge surge in orders and so did our wholesale companies – they stopped taking orders for 2 weeks to catch up on their own backlog. In the past week we have had 3 stock deliveries and almost everything is back in stock along with some new lines. Thanks for your patience this week!
